My husband just got a new grill. And I know that one of the first things he is going to want to make is some ribs. I'm not going to lie.... I'm a little picky about my ribs. I don't like a lot of sauce. So here is a rib rub recipe that I came up with that the whole family loves!
Here is what you will need:
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Now, before the new grill came along, I was making these in the oven. But now I am looking forward to my husband tending to them. If you want to make them in the oven you can.
Preheat the oven or grill to 275 degrees. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Score the bone side of the ribs, length wise. Give ’em a rub down with the seasoning mix on both sides. Then arrange the ribs, meat side down, on a baking sheet. Tent with foil and place on the grill or in the oven for 3 hours until they are very tender. If you want to char the outside, just remove them from the foil 5 minutes early and put directly on the grill or in the oven.
I like to serve mine with a side of homemade mac and cheese! Yum!
